  • Question about this spring

The mount on this spring broke and was brought to my work. All I know is that it is off of a 68 studebaker. Can someone tell me some spicifics on this piece with a part number and maybe where to get one?
Here's the link to the pic: http://www.robinsonwelding.com/images/spring.jpg any help would be much appriciated.

Couldn't have come off a '68 but looks to me like a supercharger tensioner arm spring assembly. Could have been a '58 maybe? was used 57-58 and 63-64. They are still available, try Phil Harris at 937-878-1576 or stude6@yahoo.com (I believe that is the guy that took over Ted Harbit's parts business)

    good luck

Yep, Nate is right on, it's the spring from the supercharger belt tensioner assembly. The spring assemblies themselves are still available, but if the mount that this spring is attached to on the engine was broken, somebody's in deep yogurt. The mount is cast iron, and I'm proud to know that there's a machine shop "out there" who would even try to tackle fixing it! Let us know what happens will ya? OH! If you do fix it, make sure we get your business information so we can find your machine shop! Thanks in advance.
