...volts on my starter circuit? I'm cranking too fast. I had to scour around for a starter recently and don't wish to fry this one too. What is it in the starter that limits it's volt carrying capacity? Windings in the field coils??[?]
I want to slow it down some. I have long since converted to 12 volts. Is there any way to build in resistance in the cable that goes from the sol to the starter? Or maybe, a 12V solenoid that accepts 12V on one side, and delivers 6 Volts on the opposite?[]
