hi - i'm new to the studebakers and was wondering if i can get an idea of 'value' range of a nicely totally re-done 58 studebaker golden hawk - supercharged. any info you can share would be appreciated. any opinions on this particular car ? feel free to even email me direct at TAYPAT1@AOL.COM.

Joe, we've seen excellent examples of these go for as much as $25K in recent times. Some for less, of course. The 58 IS a bit rarer than the 57. I only mention that because the two are almost indentical save for some very minor trim changes.
It takes a REAL expert in Golden Hawks to tell a nice freshening from a real restoration. Shiney paint and fresh interior can bedazzle the uninformed. Proceed with research, not infatuation, and you'll probably come out OK. ;)

I have exchanged information with him via e-mail relative to pricing, rarity and especially the non-stock items on the car that he is considering. (This was before I saw the question here. I am not trying to cut this forumn out.)

Thanks for hanging in there for us here Gary. How many of the '58 GH were made?

There were 878 '58 Golden Hawks and 4356 '57 Golden Hawks (4071 '56 GH)(588 '58 Packard Hawks).
