Yes, banners were available in both 1961 and 1963.

I really don't know, too much stuff and I haven't looked through all of it. I believe the '56's may have utilized posters (heavyweight paper).

They also used banners in 56. One was hanging in my garage for many years and will be at the Memorabilia room in Glendale.
