Chip, just go back to the gas station where you left it.

Man, memories. A couple summers ago, I left my gas cap on my trunk of my 63 daytona hardtop, and as I was driving away, some guy starting saying something to me, I just smiled and waved. Then, I heard a big clunk, and bang. Realizing what it was at that point, I got out. They guy said, "parts are always falling of those Studebakers aren't they?". I had to laugh. Of course it bounced under the middle of some other car parked there. A little embarassing to retrieve. It put a ding into my very nice chrome gas cap I had bought the year before at a swap.
        Won't do that again!

It's worse than that! [:I][:I] I put it on the top of the quarter panel when I was gassing up, and forgot it! I, umm, err, ahh, ran it over......[:I][:I][:I][:I] I squashed that sucker like a bug!
