    Some are, some are neopryn rubber.

      The ones I have seen are thick cork, maybe 1/8".

            I work for Freightliner/Western Star dealership. The western star uses cork and fits perfect. You may find it cheaper from a dealer.

              You can get the gasket material from your local FLAPS and cut it yourself.

                Cork is just fine by the way. I've had two different rubber/neoprene type gaskets literally curl up and push outside the sender causing a big leak. No problem at all with the cork type gaskets.
