  • What do these fog lights fit?

A buddy bought the correct fog light kit for his '51 and wants to sell the ones that were on the car when he bought it.

They're 5 inches in diameter. Any idea what the application is?

    Matthew,

Those are aftermarket Unity brand fog/driving lights. Universal fit. They sold them to most car manufacturers from 40's through at least the 50's if not later. Places like "Western Auto", "Economy Auto", OTASCO, (aka,Oaklahoma Tire and Auto Supply Co.) also sold them. Very common "back then"

I guess what Clark was saying might be, "The application is anything you want it to be!" They may be aftermarket, but they sure look nice![8D] What's your buddy want for them, Matt? Also, are they six or twelve volt?

I think I remember seeing those on a 48 Harley. NT

I have to laugh at that underdash pic Matt, it shows the add-on Fog Light Switch (actually a different year Studebaker one) on a custom made under-dash bracket, and there's the plug in the dash for it right there to the right! [:0]

It looks like the interior is in great shape though. [^]

Brad, the ones you have are the ones that the guy bought. (Tom sold him a set still in the box.)

The switch in the car is from a late 40's Stude. It's the same design as the switches in a '48 Land Cruiser that's at our shop.

Seems as though these were used on just about everything. I was hoping the bracket might be application specific, though.
