If I did my #'s right, it's a 259, and I want to say from 1959. I'm not very good running engine #'s, so if I'm wrong; someone please correct me! [8D]

      Agreed, looks like it's a 59 259 out of a Lark.

It could also be out of a 1959 South Bend Silver Hawk.

No, that would make it a baseball team[)]
(if you don't know what I'm talking about, google "south bend silver hawks")

I'm fully aware of the baseball team having fallen off the turnip truck a while back. I'm distinguishing them from the Canadian built Hawks. They would have the C before the V.

As you know, valve covers are easily swapped around.
Lots of '63-'64 Chrome valve covers with Oil Caps were sold by Newman and Altman/Standard Surplus in the 1970's and '80's very cheap, as they had left over/surplus Engine Dress-up Kits from Studebaker Plant 8 Parts Depot.
Wherever they came from, those are not original to your '59 Engine.

Yeah, kinda figured that Rich. I was just suprised someone chose to paint them red instead of leaving them chrome!
