Rolled up to Home Depot this AM and parked next to this lovely '60 Lark VIII Deluxe 2-door with 3/OD:
When I came out, the owner was leaning against it, a contractor named Charlie. Told me he's been driving it to jobs as the engine in his Ford pickup blew and he didn't want to sink $4,500 into fixing it! Been driving it all around San Diego. Upgraded to power disc brakes and steering. Charlie also has a restored '55 Conestoga
We had a good chat and he related how he always manages to p-off the '57 Chevy guys at the car shows, since his driver Lark draws more attention than the restored Tri-5... no one knows what it is!
You meet the nicest people in a Studebaker [8D]
