Vacationing in San Diego and visited the San Diego Auto Museum today. They had a very nice display of a late 20's Studebaker Coupe Barn find (Have pictures but don't know how to post - sorry) but also had a folder advertising exhibit at the Peterson Automotive Museum in LA, entitled "What were the thinking? Misfits of Mototdom" They had pictures of some of the cars but no picture of the Astral. Comment was "Generate publicity in difficult financial times by building a mockup of a vehicle that featured every possible atomic age innovation" I've never heard of this effort, has anyone any information? Has anyone attended the Peterson to see the exhibit - what do they have on the Astral - just pictures or has the mockup somehow survived?
