...I need some encouragement. The brakelights went again. And the transmission is dripping fluid. Blah. So its back to the mechanic.

Oh, well, for a 47 years old car that rattles about, she drives very well...

But I'm feeling a bit lonely and not sure if I am up to it.

Well Stu,

To start with thats a darned fine car you have there and not only her but you deserve for her to be in good running order.
I on the other hand have a much longer road to travel to get my car any where near that good of shape.
Not only can you do it but others will appreciate it and in the end it will be well worth the time and expense.

Sorry about some of the spelling, I took three try's at appreciate and still doubt that I got it right.
