I have dreams of owning a Hawk exactly like that one, but I think the closest I will ever get is my Danbury Mint model.

Doug, you took the words right out of my mouth. The Danbury Mint model is the only example I have of the magnificent Golden Hawk. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with that. I still love my Lark though.

To Doug and anyone else out there that say they can only dream of owning a real one. You must say to yourself every day "I will only live once, and who knows for how long" reset your priorities and do or get the things you want from life before it is too late.;)
There are still lots of Golden Hawks out there that are just waiting for someone to save them and get them back on the open road where they belong.[:p]
Be the man that saves one:)

To follow up that statement I have two more things to say.
My 56 Hawk has been waiting n a garage 49 years to stretch its legs again. Last driven in summer of 1961. I am working on it![:p]
And second, I just recieved a new project car in the shop last week
from a customer who had it in another shop for far too long. He finally go fed up and pulled it out. I joking told him we would get right at it so he could have the pleasure of driving it before he dies. Well we did get at it in full force;) But he had a stoke Thursday night.[V] Fortunately he is still with us:) But I do hope his health does not impair his ability to drive in his new 55 Buick convertible this summer[:p]
