  • Last Call -ole 53 4-door-- goes to crusher

I mentioned this ole car a while back. It's a fair body,
with cut out rear wheel wells. little rust in frt fenders
and right rear floor board. I don't think anyone will
want it, but thought I would offer, before I strip and haul
off to scrap. I have 4 now and my wife is getting scared.
This one and the old 55 coupe are going to be stripped and
scrapped soon. So, if any one is close enough to Wetumpka,
Al. and are intrested e-mail me

Interested - in an early, tri-star car? You bet! []

Close enough to Wetumpka, Alabama... um... sadly, no

Thanks for posting, though. I surely appreciate folks doing their best to keep 4-door sheet metal intact for those of us who expect to need it in the future

Oh man! Please someone save that car! If I was closer, I would for sure, space or not! Thanks for making a attempt to save the old girl, I hope someone takes you up on your offer.

I wonder what parts are in fact interchangeable between the landcruiser and the c/k bodies?

I want the car but I can't get the about thousand miles.

My mother had a 53 Champion Deluxe 4dr. sedan, I was looking at the engine at 13 years.

Funny that you should post this today. I have one of those in my yard that I bought just for the engine. It needs a new home also.

These pictures were taken before I took the car home. Floors are rusty and mice got the interior. Near perfect tinted glass all the way around. Cheap to someone who can use it.

Most mechanicals will swap with C/Ks, wheels, brakes, I'm not sure about suspensions, but you want the '54 commander brakes. Head light rims, door handles. Very little, unfortunately.

My first car was a 54 land cruiser. Always will be fond of the memories with that car. Dad raised me around Studes and now I carry his torch. Hopefully someone can salvage this fine piece of history

What is the overall width of the bumpers front and rear? I am looking at doing some modified bumpers for a 56 C body. If I am cutting and secioning I would rather not start with nice sttraight C body bumper. Let me know if you can.
