The famous Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne, who also was to be Vice President of the new Rockne Motors Corporation a subsidiary of the Studebaker Corporation dies in a plane crash today in 1931

Tom,
I have the original contract signed by Knute Rockne with the Studebaker Corporation just 12 days before the fatal crash on the 19th March to be the "Manager of Sales Promotions" for $10,000 per year. Paul Hoffman signed on behalf of Studebaker. This contract was only for time available to Studebaker whilst Knute continued to coach the Notre Dame football team.
