    A '59[?] grille?!
Really reminds me of that one other (sorry dave) prototype van. Neat photo! Thanks for posting!

It appears to have a very short wheelbase and high steering wheel, perhaps like a ZipVan. But, ZipVans were all right-hand drive and the steering wheels were lower. I see a solid front axle, too. Was there a special truck chasis for vehicles like this? What company made the body?

It appears to be a 3/4 ton rated unit (by examining the wheels), but the wheelbase is no more than 112" (it does look shorter) which was the shortest truck wheelbase available in 1960. [8)][?]

Tough to tell the wb of the van with the side door being open and the angle of the photo. A neat van though. [8D]

I like the collection of Studebaker items they threw on the front of this box.

              Neat '59 only, Lark Grille.

Then there's the '56-'61 "Studebaker" script and the '55 Truck hood ornament. [^]

They always had good baked stuff. Bill Brown from our Ohio Region SDC used to drive for them. Also, when I grew up in NW PA, our neighbor had baked goods delivered to their door by Nickles Bakery; this would have been the '60's. I remember a similar-sized truck but don't remember it being a Studebaker (I think I would have, but maybe not).

What Bill means is this truck makes him want a donut. I know it has done the same thing to me. Now I have to stop on the way to work and get a full Nickles' box.

This would be a nice addition to my collection and neat to tool around town in. Also would be a great plce to store all of my parts and other stuff for my cars and trucks. I like it a lot.

Bob, that is it!!!! For some reason I'm thinking now that Nickles' called their bags of those, "Donut Fair".
