  • My Dad's first new car 1950

    [img][/img]
Going through some old family photos today while watching March madness and I came across this one. It says on the back" My first new car, 1951 Studebaker".

Cool picture. Never seen one with the luggage rack before.

My Dad says this is his first NEW car...does that mean the propeller was an option from Studebaker?

Never available at the factory but that didn't stop people from putting 'em on. I like 'em and have one hanging in the dining room. (See pic below).

I'm pretty sure your dad's car was a '50 Commander 4 door. Well optioned car!
