We had a wonderful day today at the Peterson. Lots of Studebakers, great company and enjoyment for all. The LA Hudson club joined us and had numerous Hudsons present. I only took pictures of the Studebakers, but someone else, I am sure will post the Hudson's and any other Studebakers I missed. Thanks to the LA Chapter SDC for a great kick off to the Studebaker Car show season here in Southern California.

I forgot to mention that the Red M16 had a real tree trunk, not plastic or fiberglass strapped down to the back and the green M series big truck had Utah plates. Don't know if it came all the way from UTAH, if so it would have gotten longest distance, I think.

Had a ball there again today. It was great to talk to forum members and those I already knew. Wish I had bought more stuff to sell.

Great shots and great weather. You guys just couldn't wait two weeks?! Sigh. ;) Heading out soon for spring break and a few college tours before Easter. I really need to coordinate such trips with these L.A. meets. Nicely done.

It was good to see eveyone, especially Bill Oliver & his daughter. The black Avanti was one of the last ones made in Mexico on the Mustang base. Its owner was showing me some of its faults but honestly, it looked really good to me. No pictures of Doug Hughes 63 Lark with its 66 front end? Maybe some one will snag a shot of it if it makes an appearance at La Palma.

Thanks for the terrific pictures, there were really nice cars, which even included some really nice Hudsons that attended the meet. I was surprised that I had the only GT Hawk at the show. Usually there are a half dozen later Hawks in attendance. Bud

Us Hudson guys also had a great time. It was nice to have both brands at the meet. It makes for very interesting browsing and meeting fellow car nuts. Niels

Jon, The Packard Darrin is part of the automobile collection at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo, CA. If you ever get to LA, I'd be happy to give you a firsthand look at the Darrin and other Studebakers and Packards in the collection as I'm a docent at the museum. Bud
