Some newspaper writers got together years ago and made that list, most animals are on it. IIRC, Larks come in an Exaltation.

So the next time the County authorities are asking about the stash of cars I have behind the shop I can tell them its an exultation of Larks and they will leave me alone [?]:D

I like ascension better. The other version just sounds like another word to rhyme in a Beach Boys song. :D[:o)]

If Joan Embry of the San Diego Zoo says so, then it must be true. [8D] Does she make guest appearances on the Tonight Show anymore?

rockne10,

A covey of quails is dinner!

My favorite dinner I might add, especially when cooked over an open campfire.

Rather have that than a steak.

Dean.

Ah, I can just see it now. I'll go to a Studebaker function and whilst looking at the Lark area, make a comment like, "What a lovely exaltation of Larks," LOL, and they'll look at me like I've quite gone around the twist!:D[:o)]

Hey it's an exultation of Larks, and oh dear here comes a kettle of Hawks [:o)].

(Keep in mind that the Harris Hawks are really the only hawks that group, most of them rather lead a solitary life [}:)].

Me thinks the zoo has taken a liberty with this list. A bunch of crows is a "murder of crows". And what has a crow ever done to be associated with Congress?:D

So far so good. The rust is really starting to show at the bottoms of the doors and the front of the hood. I am planning on taking care of that this summer and getting a new two tone midnight black/Romany Red paint job.

In hindsight, Studebaker should've named at least one of their cars "Eagle." That name might've gone over better than "Avanti" since most people don't know what the word means and call the car a-VAN-tee. [:o)]
