Seems that some other people here have been talking that this forum has become a "picture site" or this slows down how fast the forum loads. With that, it seems that this should be the end of the line for my nightly photos because it seems that people don't like them. Since Champ Trucking has ended his photos, I followed after him (hence "Other" eye candy), I should close down too. I would also like to include that I don't post here to "rack up how many posts I have" or something of that nature. I have posted these pictures because I think they are cool and worth looking at because they should be preserved, AND because I have a somewhat deacent collection of pictures that do me no good not being seen. I still might post some old photos once in a while, like tonight where I found a photo of a vintage '53 or '54 stock car at my home track. With that, I hope you all enjoyed the photos over the months.[^]:)

Your efforts are MUCH appreciated by many/most of us, Chris, as well of course as those of Richard Quinn, Gary Sanders (after dinner mints - HOPE I have your name right), Champ Trucking and all. It's pretty easy to tell the difference on the front page of the General Studebaker Discussion between a picture discussion and one that is not. So those who don't want to look at them can certainly avoid them. But for most of us these photos -- of cars/trucks or Studebaker history -- are the high spot of our day!!

It's understandable if doing this every day gets a little tiresome, but PLEASE keep them coming when you can. Sharing things of interest to others is a GOOD thing as you say.

Chris, don't let a couple chronic gripers run you off! See my post to Rich (ChampTrucking). The vast majority of us love all the pictures we can get; and for the rest, it won't affect their internet speed one iota if the just don't open the thread! It's extremely basic logic, yet somehow missed by a few[:I]

Don't ever let the occasional malcontent dampen your enthusiasm- we love it! And, Studebakering needs enthusiastic young guys. Post all you want, and have compassion for the unhappy, but don't get stuck back there with them. My motto is Excelsior- means ever upward[^] I wish the same to you, young feller[8D]

Ditto what bams50 said, and also what I wrote to Champtrucking on his Eye Candy thread. When I have time I really [u]LIKE</u> to read many of the informative and helpful text posts. But sometimes I only have time for a short pleasure break and look at the pictures for a l ittle "pick me up" during the day (or night).

Man, now I'm going to have to go and find whatever whiny post it was that got this whole thing started.

I enjoy your post.. to bad some people have to ruin it for all the rest.
My suggestion to the folks who don't like Pictures, they need to be the ones to quit posting
and find another site to complain about.

Chris, don't let this dampen your spirit. Youth is what is going to keep the Studebaker Drivers Club going. There will always be a few thet step on someone else fun, but most of us like your pictures. Keep us posted on your 40 Champ. Jim

In this day in age, dial up service is practically useless. Most of the people on this forum have a least one hobby car to play with. The hobby/fun costs some money, so if you have enough funds to play with cars, then it is by choice that you decide not to have a good internet connection. The same could be said for buying poor tools.

So for the few who whine about slow speeds, to bad, it is by your choice to accept substandard service. There is no need to diminish the usefulness of the message board to accommodate a very small minority of folks who simply will not meet today’s minimum standards.

I WANT CANDY!

Chris, your "Eye Candy" posts are the first things I click on when signing into the forum and I always enjoy your colorful choices for the day. Don't let a few "grumps" get you down. It seems it always takes a little controversy for the "silent majority" like myself to speak up. PLEASE KEEP POSTING CANDY!

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here, but since I no longer own a Studebaker, I love to look at the pictures. If they go away, there's really no reason for me to hang around.

If you don't like looking at pictures on the forum, suck it.[8]

Het Chris dont give up! Wish I had this technology back when I was your age but was lucky to get my Stude fix by riding my bike to the local Stude dealer and hang out. This was in the early 80s but still had a few beater Studes and parts left, they hired me to help clean up used cars and sell X-mas trees.
