View Full Version : hide gas filler

I removed the gas filler door on my 50 starlight coupe and need suggestions on how to relocate it so it will not be seen. Has anyone out there done a hidden gas fill or a taillight set up that can be hinged.

Check out Jerry Forrester's slide show at the start of this post. Wrong year but you might talk to him about his how to.

Would probably need to start with the hinge from a '57 Chevy or a Cadillac of the same period.

My Mother's '56 Chevy Stationwagon had that too. Your turned the trim piece between the reflector and tail-light to open it.
