Nice photo! Yes, it is at the front gate of the proving ground. It also just hit me, I don't think that guard shack is there anymore. I went past there today.[?]:)

A neighbor of mine received a new 1960 Lark VIII convertible, in that color, for his 16th birthday. I didn't get a car for my 16th birthday, but shortly after, I received the use of a family 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline AeroSedan.

Yes, that is why Richard included "1960 Lark conv Churchill" in his title.
IMO, Church was a great guy that really was interested in Studebaker vehicles. I guess that he would be a god (lower case g) to Bob A. for championing the Lark idea.

The Lard looks really small in that setting. Do you suppose that was intentional, to emphasize how "compact" it is?
