I don't know if it has been mentioned , but the April Hemmings Classic Car magazine came today with a 4 page spread on the re-styling of '66 to '70 model Studebakers. Lots of stuff I haven't seen before.

It's a Patrick Foster piece, the followup to last month's beginning. I look forward to reading it.

Pat's article is well written and includes a few pictures/drawings of what should have been. You can find this issue at your local Barnes & Noble Bookstore. If they don't have it let me know as I have a very lovely lady who can provide me all of the copies in her store for delivery to you.

Okay, so it isn't a spoof! [:I] The way the op stated it, I wasn't sure.

I purchased the March issue, and promply subscribed to the mag. I loved every page of the thing, before that, I had never heard of it. I was hoping I would have subscribed in time for the April ish...but if I don't I will have to go to the store to buy it. Looking foreward to reading it.

There was a great spoof a couple of years ago - in the regular Hemmings, IIRC, April issue. The premise was that some rich guys were going to resurrect AMC, and there were some nice renderings of "proposed" Gremlins, Pacers, AMXs and whatnot. Dunno if anyone here posted about it then - before my time...

I think the spoof appeared in HOT ROD and was really well done with cool concept cars. The AMC faithful gave a lot of negative feedback to the editors...but c'mon really now... how is a company like AMC or Studebaker for that matter get resurrected by some rich investors? Completely unfeasible in this day and age.

If there's any store carrying either the March or the April edition of Hemmings Classic Car Magazine on the Big Island they're keeping that fact TOP SECRET :(

I'd really like to read and keep this two-part Stude article so I'd surely appreciate a PM from anyone willing to pick up copies of both issues and quote me a price for purchase, postage and time and trouble to mail to Hilo HI 96720.

My April issue of Hemmings Classic Car came in the mail Friday. The Pat Foster article on Studebaker 1966-70 is very interesting and much of the information and photos are in his recent excellent Studebaker book.

The main focus of the April issue of Hemmings Classic Car is Chevy Sixes, which is especially appropriate for '66 Studebaker enthusiasts. Check it out!
