Who still has NOS hood springs for for C-K models. I need one of the long hood return springs for my 56 Hawk. (has 53 hood, but I am sure they are the same springs)

Thanks guys. I have only one. And when I was trial fitting my new hood I found that the long frail looking spring actually sucked the back of the hood down on the side that I had it attached.
Originally I had planned to eliminate them all together. But, now I am thinking the Studebaker engineers put them there for a reason.

Words of wisdom, especially on 56 Hawks, ALWAYS PULL the hood to you when opening and closing. NO - UP and DOWN hood closings.

Does this apply to 53 and 54 hoods?
