I had the good fortune to pick up a boxed NOS carby dashpot for the two barrel carb on my Hawk equipped with auto trans. The dashpot plunger initially had the normal resistance but the diaphragm was internally perished with age & collapsed with a couple of workings. The part number 1542834 fits 1959 to 1964 2 barrel V8 auto trans models. Does anyone know of a substitute dashpot or anyone reproducing the dashpot as surely there is a market out there for them.
