That car looks like it should be delivering someone to the White House for a conference with President Truman. They all look good in black.

How pretty is that? I'd match it against a contemporary Caddy for pomp any day!

We just had a lesson on another thread re how to tell First By Far Champions apart from this angle. VERY helpful and slap-my-forehead simple once I saw it on my monitor. Now: Can anyone help me learn to tell the difference between '47, '48 & '49 senior-series cars from the front? I'd be much obliged.

I agree with the rest of you, this car is the definition of 'dignity'. Very nice!

The world needs more 47-49 Commanders. Any type.
Champions are a little stubby for my taste, but these rock.

I take back what I said about the Commander grilles. That Land Cruiser is stunning. Looks great in black.

Very nice. You don't see many black Studebakers. You have to have an exceptionally straight body to look good in Black.
