  • Master cylinder interchange

Will a master cylinder from a 1951 commander work in a 1940 commander as an interchange? Thanks

Don't know about cosmetic differences but (even tho I have not had to replace one of those for some time)it should work. My understanding is that the reason you could still get those underfloor master cylinders at GOOD autoparts stores, was because they were still used on TowMotor forklifts, and other commercial applications.
