  • My car at the Grand National Roadster Show UPDATE!

Well, the show was a BALL. Glad it's over, though! Four days in Pomona was about one too many! Anyway, the car got a "Class Award" (honorable mention) and too many 'thumbs up' to mention.

Now after all that work and all that money I have to sell the car. For those of you who have followed the build you know how nice it is and that it has a REAL "R1" engine built by Valley Head Service with R3 valves and R3 intake and exhaust manifolds--this engine alone is worth at least $4500 as it sits. The paint is flawless, the interior is beautiful, the chrome and stainless are 9/10 full on show quality. T-85 with a Hurst Shifter, Stewart Warner green line gauges, Silvertone stainless exhaust, Corvette brakes, etc. etc. etc etc. It's a great and TOTALLY DIFFERENT hot rod.

The first person to step up and offer me $15,000 can own this car. There is no way you can build one like it for less than $25-$30K. Bob Cole would charge you $8500 for the paint alone if you brought a car to him.

This is a killer deal for a special car and I really hope someone here buys it before I send it to ebay in a couple of weeks

Allan - love this car and enjoyed watching it come together. Perfect way to build a sedan. Absolutely awesome!

Just add Robert Mitchum's character behind the wheel and place it on the backroads of the south at about midnight and watch it fly

The 1957 Chevy "Black Widow" has nothing on this car! Looks fantastic Allan. You'll loose your voice answering all of the questions you'll be asked. I'm sure it runs just as good as it looks. Congratulations on a job well done.
