  • Bill & Pat Oliver

Many of you know Bill & Pat Oliver. Bill has operated Studebaker Parts and Service in Long Beach, CA for many years and Pat has been with Bill at many of the Stude meets in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Pat suffered a massive heart attack yesterday and passed away. She had been visiting with family in Oklahoma. Condolences to Bill and their daughters.

I'm very grieved to hear this. Would it be possible for someone to arrange a fund like was done for Mrs. Stone?

UUGGH! I just talked to Bill earlier in the week. I remember Pat from the meets & visits to CA. It is good that she got a final visit with her family before passing, but so unfortunate that it had to happen so suddenly...Deepest condolences Bill- you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm stunned. I considered Pat a friend along with Bill. As Chapter members, I guess we are more family then friends. Their family has suffered an untimely loss.

I too am very sorry to hear of this, as Bill and Pat are long term good friends, and Pat was a great person and very caring about others.

I tried to call you today but no answer, I wanted to know what the OEC was going to do for Bill, so I could help. I did reach John Metzker though and he did not know as he doesn't do the Forum.

Our sympathies to Bill & the daughters. We have hosted Bill & Pat here in Melbourne & similarly they took care of us at their Torrance home in California. A great Studebaker couple.

I spoke with Bill yesterday afternoon to offer my condolences. I asked about funeral arrangements and he told me that the Neptune Society is handling it. I asked about a memorial service and Bill said that he would notify me when the arrangements were made. I'll post the time and date of the service as soon as possible for anyone that would like to attend. Bud

Being a member and part of the Studebaker community for over 30 years with her husband, Bill Oliver, Pat had come to know many of you fondly and truly enjoyed her time with all of you.
We, in the family are all very sad and do appreciate all of your love and support at this time.

There will be a memorial on February 27, 2010 in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA from 2pm to 7pm and we would like to extend her Studebaker Family to come and bring any photos or stories or memories to share of Pat.
