i have a 57 gh with bent frame at right front cab support, was told that a 62 gthawk frame was heavier guage, and would work, i have picked one up and noticed that the rear springs are different, my question is what all will i have to do to use it if at all my frame is good for outriggers and stuff if needed, need advise plz.

About 12 years ago, I was involved in a restoration of a 53 K body. Original frame was weak and there was a 62 GT frame in very good condition, all we had to do was roll the shell off of it. It worked perfectly after careful measurements and virtually no mods. One day several years afterward I got a call from the owner. they having problems fitting new brakes on the 53, seems we neglected to tell him we'd changed the frame.
