I may have to go look at a Weasel and try and get it running for our local military museum. From what I understand, it has fuel issues. Is the fuel pump the same as a car pump?

All of them left South Bend with Champion 170 engines. They were very popular in Scandinavia (Norway?) so some might have been rebuilt with Volvo power.
NAPA had the fuel pump last time I bought one (2006 or so).

To my knowledge, all Weasels were fitted with Champion engines. I would therefore assume that the Champion fuel pump would be used.
To be sure, why not contact Ed Reynolds at Stude Int'l and see what he says.
