I have to wonder what the back of the car looks like. He's calling it a pickup?????

I wouldn't "pick up" this one for any more than $1000

Looks cool to me except for the side pipes []

Yeah, hard to see what's so bad about it from the one weak picture[?] The Ute was well-received, and I didn't care for that. Maybe this one is better-proportioned. Also, it's still in primer, so it would be easier to make any changes one might want.

I'll reserve my judgement till I get at least a peek at the back, which is the key to the whole thing.

Depending on the drivetrain, braking system, upholstery, tires etc.- this might be a steal. He says ALL the hard work is done so I would assume it's road ready????

From the angle I see it, I will have to say it looks better than
any of these conversions I have seen. Like Sal, I would like to
                see shots from the rear.

It has potential if you remove the growths on the side. The question is how many dollars will take it from his dream car to yours.

Without a lot more definitive pics, it's hard to say what this car amounts to.

But I am amazed at how some of you are critiquing it. I never heard anyone say these things when Dick's Ute was in primer.

What is the "hard part" he's talking about? Keeping your lunch down whilst defacing a beautiful car?

Dick's Ute did not have that crude looking plumbing hung out the side of the fender.

Dick's Ute did not have that crude looking plumbing hung out the side of the fender. It looks like this one has a real short bed, maybe just the trunk made into a "bed". The build quality is light years away from Dick's IMHO.

Probably had rust holes where those hideous pipes exit the front fenders![xx(]

Agreed, I don't like those pipes or whatever they are on the sides either. But the rear might be really sharp. Reminds me of those rumble-seat conversions.

Wish we knew somebody in the area that could get a few pictures...
