truck identification

could some one help me identify this truck
i was told it is a 1947 1 1/2 to but it doesnt look the same as other 47's I have seen

Your truck is a 2R series C-Cab built between 1949 and 1953. The serial number will narrow down which year exactly. It does not look like other 2R trucks as it has a "Transtar" hood (used on C-Cab trucks from 1956 to 1964).

If it were a 1947 as you have been told, it would be an M series which is very different looking as seen below:
