Happy holiday to everyone
It's been awhile since I was on the forum, but I'm still out here. I am assembling my car. It's nice to put back together rather than take apart! Question: The book shows the brake backing plate goes directly on the axle flange--no gasket there---is this correct? I would have thought a gasket would go there, but my manuals say no. I'm talking about the left side in this instance. On the right side the shims go on before the backing plate, to get the axle end play correct. But i would have thought a gasket would go on before the backing plate as well.
It's been awhile since I took this apart--I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here. Thanks----Regards----Dan
