This car was from NC and on eBay a few weeks ago and got to near $10,000 at auction. It just showed up on eBay again in Texas but the price is now $20,000.

It still has painted tail light trim housings.:)
It was a good buy at $10,000.

Here was the original discussion thread on this car.

Nice lookin car, just dont let a judge see it,would do good to get 300 of the 400 points.

If it wasn't for the last minute i'd never get anything done.

Better pictures than last time, more points off. Alternator, 2 bbl carb, ceramic resistor on dash, '56 horn button, gages under dash, horn activation button on side of steering column. Come On, this is a State Sedan, a '55 Land Cruiser, where's the fabric/ Where's the quality? the headliner is BAD, the dash pad is pleated like the '60 lark. I'd be very surprised if it got 300. Yeah, it was a good buy at $10.000.

I know, its' still better than my '55, but mine's not for sale for $19,500, either. It's not for sale at all.

Looks like a good start to me! Looks like a good driver, and you can always change things as they get worn out, back to original.:) I'd drive it any day of the week personally! Those tail lights got to change though!

Well, either the dealer thinks he knows something about the marketplace - or he is about to get a Studebaker resale education. Anything over $10k and he wins. I'm pretty sure he'll win.

I've heard some hilarious stories over the years from car wholesalers who mistakenly thought they got a great deal - only to end up selling the car for less than they paid at the dealer only auction.

Why the modern radio? Not appiling at all on that mostly stock looking dash.
