http://tinyurl.com/ydfd8r5 You KNOW you've always wanted a beat-up Champion. And who wouldn't LOVE a trip to Idaho this time of year to get it?

Think of it as an adventure!

C'mon!

I wouldn't go so far as to say, 'beat up,' on this car. Very weathered, yes. By the lack of interior shots, I'd say that it's a foregone conclusion one has their hands full there though. All in all, it looks like a really neat car. Thankfully, it's in Idaho and therefore not a temptation.;)

While I'm not that interested, the body doesn't appear to be that bad. I've seen people fix a lot worse. If the body is as solid as it looks, and both the cowl plate and S/N plate are there, this might be steal for someone who lives close by.

Speaking of road trips...I could take the last one I picked up to the junk yard and get my money back...that is for the purchase price...but the gas and wear and tear on my tow vehicle...I'll never see that money again! All in all...a million dollar experience I wouldn't give a nickle to repeat! The end result is that the sheer fun I am having playing with this piece of junk is really irritating the heck out of everybody else around here.:D:D:D

Shupp, Bams. You've got (3) delivery days left before Christmas. And right after that, there's the tax forms, and the white sales. Sorry, you can't be spared. Or...can you?

I hope everyone has noticed, this is a real listing. I know it is because, just so no one gets ideas about jocularity, we are told:

[u]this is a real auction ,, no reserve. payment is to be made with in 3 days of auction end.</u>

The guy really expects you to pay for this little jewel.

[u]shipping is the new buyer resposabilty $$$... i will help with local pick up , or help the shiping company get it loaded. </u>

But he won’t bring it to you.

[u]this auction is for the hole car ...</u>

I think he meant the hole IN the car—all the busted glass.

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/johnnywiffer/idaho4A.jpg

[u]it is a parts car , because i have no title . the car appears to all be there.</u>

Yep, it’s all there, all right. All of it is in IDAHO!

[u]it is a 1949 studabaker champion. it is the origanal paint job and has never been in a wreck that i can see.</u>

ORIGINAL PAINT? Well, yes. In fact you could probably just buff it out and it’d run like, er—well--a Champ!

[u]the motor does run /</u>

There! See? I told ya!

[u]but it has not been started for the last 14 years. so most likely needs worked on.</u>

Oops, it appears I got ahead of myself. I guess it RAN WHEN PARKED.

[u]tranny is there as well. </u>

Is that “tranny” or “Granny”? Notice he didn’t show pix INSIDE the trunk?

[u]like i said it all looks to be there. </u>

Except the broken glass

[u]any ways if you have questions call me 208 xxx xxxx ask for jon.</u>

Or, any ways (sp), knock 3 times and ask for Joe.

And there you have it. A gem of a car. A car with a personality. A car last seen in “The Green Mask”.

And at a bid of only $2.25, you could probably scrape the RUST off, take IT to the junk yard and get $2.25.

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/johnnywiffer/idaho2A.jpg

That leaves the important tidbits for the Swap Meet. Tidbits such as the sparkling gas-door guard and the 4-lug Lamborghini-type wheels (they are round like Lamborghini’s), WELL, 2 any ways (sp).

The grille with a character mark

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s311/johnnywiffer/idaho8a.jpg

And last, but certainly least, for the guy who can’t make up his mind, one yellow and one clear fog light. When was the last time you saw THAT combo?

All in all, this is the car for the guy who has everything, including $2.25!

Get it while it’s—er, in Idaho!

John

OK OK, just to be PC, the forgoing was a JOKE!

Dec 23 update: MAN! Woke up this AM and it's up to $505! Goes to show what a little (negative) advertising will do.[:o)]

At $505.00 I see a pair of rear fenders that are worth every bit of that. There's LOTS of other worthwhile parts as well.[^]

Again, compared to most east coast cars, this is nice. How much would you spend fixing rust on one of these?

$505? Someone sure wants a hole Studabaker under the Christmas tree. Maybe they should opt for their two front teeth instead (cheaper)... LH
