  • Is my 59 lark 8 as worthless as I think?

I have a 59 Lark 8 automatic 2 Dr hardtop. Runs and drives. 4 rusty but repairable fenders. Appears to be original right down to the bias ply tires and hubcaps. Is it as worthless as I think? Appears $1000 would be all its worth?

Well, you know what they say about Real Estate...location, Location, LOCATION! That does enter into it, but with Classic cars it's...
              Condition, Condition, CONDITION! [^]

If you live in the rust belt and the floors, trunk, rocker panels, fenders are rotted through, is may not be worth even that. That is why we ask for pics, but if $1000.00 is not worth the effort to you then I guess you will still own it! [:0]

A Lark VIII 2 Dr. Hardtop, on the other hand does have the highest value of all '59 Studebakers.

Just wondering if it was worth bothering with or easier to bury it in the backyard

I want to know if this is worth anything or I may as well junk it and go on my way.

The instructions are at the top of this General Discussion Page, but basically the short story is: you just have to load the pics from your computer to your Photo Bucket Site, and then paste the the img address in your post.

Are the floors rusted through or soft? Is the trunk floor rusted through? What condition is the interior in? Brakes good? Bumpers look good? When was the last year it was licensed? Does it run & drive good or do the mechanicals need some improvement? Got a title?
