HMMMM, is that a P-50 instead of a P-38? Wonder if that barrel sticking out of the nose is a brand X disposer? Cool car, wish I was in that weather too. JB

That looks like fun...

The sharkmouth is American Volunteer Group (or RAF 112 Sqn) Curtiss H81 Tomahawk style, but the "nose mounted cannon" is pure Bell P-39/P400 Airacobra (as are, by default, the hinged doors for "cockpit access")...somebody should arrange a dual photo shoot with this mean machine and the P-38 Lightning-inspired Starlight that was at CeRap.

Sweet! If that barrel was an actual functional machine gun, then that would be the Studebaker to beat all!

Is that a gun barrel sticking out of the bullet or a pitot tube?

This car was on eBay about 3-4 years ago. Great presentation with a lot of pictures. The dash is all aircraft type instruments. I lusted after it big time (still do). I think it went for $60k or so.
