I am looking for a source to purchase a floor mat for my 1949 Studebaker 1-1/2 ton truck with a floor mounted transmission shifter. I've been able to locate a mat for a truck with a column mounted shifter, but not one for the floor mounted shifter. They are not interchangeable. Can anyone help me?

These have been NLA for quite a while. The big truck (2R16 & 2R17) have a higher transmission cover than the smaller trucks, thus they do not interchange. You might try posting on Studebaker truck Talk to see if Bo Markham or someone else can help.

Chuck Collins has been posting in TW classifieds that he is willing to make these if there is enough interest. Check page 61 of your Oct TW.

My buddy Jim Carter got the last NOS one from SASCO and put it in his 2R16A-31...

He must need some padding under the mat over the hump to eliminate the wrinkles.
