Man-o-man! If I wasn't already Studebaker poor, I'd be on that like stink on a polecat.

Oh yeah, I thought Regals had full sized SS trim around the windshield.

I am in the process of getting parts and pieces gathered up for the May 2010 South Bend Swap meet. How about you?

Jacked up NADA values??
What has that got to do with anything?

Are you sure this is the right car? It says it is gold with a blue interior? Maybe somebody is impersonating JP?

Regals do have full wide stainless around the windshield Jerry-- but that's not a Regal
It's a garden variety Commander == well no it's actually a Champion with a V-8 transplant

Glad you mentioned the book, NADA has the values all messed up this quarter. I think any rust free 53-55 coupe is worth the low book of $3800 to the street rodders, but the high book is too low and they have sedans higher then C-K's.:)

Yep, it's a mutt, but it's cheap, maybe someone wants a C-K that can't afford a high dollar car. We just thought it needed a new home since it's a decent driver.

I'd bring it home if I didn't have to have it shipped.

And that's saying something, since I generally haven't got a second look to spare for '55s.

Somebody's gonna get a deal. Hope he/she deserves it.

I just added a 4K Buy it Now, if that helps, but shipping can be a issue.

Were the brakes and the front springs upgraded to V8 pieces when the engine was swapped?

I don't think they were, but we can include V8 brake drums and backing plates with the car for $200 or so if not, To be honest, it stops so well now, I'd wait until you need a brake job to do it. I think the 53's really had the weakest brakes.

The brakes are still the Champion brakes. I agree with JP, though. Wait till it needs them before going to the expense. Just be careful till then. No hard, tailgating type panic stops until you get them done.
