  • Does anyone have a picture of a blue lark with....

    Hi everyone,

My roof paint is really really bad on my wagon[V]. I got a chance at some free white paint from the PO, that he was going to use on it if he kept it. So, teh question is, does anyone have a picture of a blue lark, preferbly a 61, and even better, a 4 door station wagon, with a white top? I'm pretty sure it will look good, albeit non stock, but I want to see what it will look like. BTW, another reason for doing this is I have sanded out surface rust from my rain gutters, so its either taking a modelers airbrush and doing some really carefull blending, or a whole new roof job, with FREE paint! Yes, I'm a CASO!! If I ever get my dream car, either a '53 commander coupe, or the one I want more, a '57 Golden Hawk, maybe that will change. By the time that happens, I'll be a honorary CASO! LOL![)]

    Thanks!

                Dylan,

                Go for it.
My 64 Wagonaire is Desert Sand or whatever the name was back then. I am painting the roof white and am undecided on what the lower part of the car will be as of yet.
But it won't be the factory color!!

How about painting everything from the chrome molding up white. Larks look pretty cool with that two tone.

Thanks for the encouragement! Since its not a custom (as in EVERYTHING done to it mechanicly can be changed back, all bolt in differences), so for some reason its hard for me to change things. Now on my dads '62 I'm doing, that is a different story. Maybe sometime we can get a pic of the wagons together, the white top cars![8D]

Your choice George, but Stude. really did have some pretty nice '64 metallic factory COLORS

Golden Sand was a very sharp color, when not all faded out! [^] It was a Beige/Gold. []

If the roof HAS to be White, then the other color should be a Med. or dark color to contrast with it.

I would suggest that you co-ordinate it with your intended INTERIOR Color, it should go well with it, or closely MATCH it. [^]

Hmmmm. That would look really neat, but, I think that would be a bit much for this car. Since its not really a custom, I don't want to stray to far from stock if I can help it. Also, its pretty much all original, so its hard for me to do any exterior painting, but I got to do something on the roof, its pretty bad. Now, I would run around in a set of torque thrusts from time to time, those would look good on this! Thanks anyway!
