I have a 64 Hawk under restoration and want to purchase the dual exhaust system. I have used 304 stainless steel for my old Chevy and a couple of old Packards. I have received a couple quotes but vendore are quoting on 409 magnetic stainless because it bends easier. I am also told it will eventually rust. Have any of you have any experence with the two materials. This will be a 2000 mile @ year car, garage kept and I hate rust.
    I appreciate any input.

Have you tried Don Simmons (Silvertone Exhaust)?

Mark , I have used Don's exhaust on all my Studebakers , you won't find a better set and they won't rust . I have had duals on my Champ truck for 10 years and they are still like new...
