  • Need a M truck stainless strip

I need a stainless M series truck grille strip to replace a torn one. I started straightening the piece before I noticed a 1/2 inch tear in it. So I need a replacement one ASAP. Doesn't need to be nice, just fixable with no tears.

    Thanks.

I don't have one Matthew, but there were two types. A long one for those trucks without a hood ornament and a shorter one for those with.

You sure Dick? I know the center strip on the hood could be two lengths depending on an ornament. I can't see how that'd affect the grille strip.

You are right, Matthew. I didn't read it carefully.

Can't it be welded? Come on Matthew, that would great to add to your resume!

Sure it can be welded. But I don't have a TIG, nor do I know how to use one.

I couldn't find one when I needed one. Mine is made out of 1/8 inch thick 7075t6 alumunum. I don't think it will crack or dent.

                I have 4 or 5 'cores' coming.

Randy, that's a heckuva good idea.
