Afternoon, all. I am going thru all my magazines to catalog them properly and get stopped quite often when I see interesting articles. The Feb. 1964 issue of Car Life has an article about the editor being allowed to help build a R-4 Daytona in the factory, then a road test on the car after completion. Does anyone have this car or has it been thrashed to death by the magazines. It says the R-4 package cost $1412.00, so surely if someone bought the car privately, they would have preserved it. At 12.66 mpg average, it sure would be fun to burn up some more dinosaur waste. Just wondering if the car is still around, must be or have been fun. I would sure love to hear those two AFB's howling. thanks, John
