I'd say not much over priced, 48000 mile car, well cared for, and with the extra parts he has with it. Try to buy a 48000 mile car off a car lot and i'd bet it would be much more than that.
looked at NADA and this is what a 48000 mile 99 Camry (10 yrs old) is in thier book.
4 cyl
Rough ------- Average------- Clean ------- Clean
trade in ----- trade in ------- trade in ----- Retail
$4862 ------- $5737 -------- $6462 ------- $8662
6 cyl
$5362 ------ 6262 --------- $6987 ------- $9237
CASO $200 ---- $400 ------- $600 - CASO selling $8000
So to me, it seams like a good price for the car.
If it wasn't for the last minute i'd never get anything done.

NADA rarely is realistic, modern or classic. We like using their prices to help customers get financed, since the actual market value here is usually WAY under NADA.
No argument that the car is probably "worth" it value-wise, but it is above market (what people will actually pay for a given item at a given time).

That car is very, very nice, and I like the Horizon Green color. What's a little strange is that it has the Daytona roof sail panel emblems and rear trim, but Cruiser side moldings and Cruiser seats and interior door panels, front and rear. Of course the production order might explain, or someone has done a fair amount of 'conversion' work to it. I'd feel a lot better about it being an excellent original if I didn't see this evidence of 'switching stuff around'.
Of course, if he is using a price guide to help him price the car, one could argue Daytona prices when one is actually, for the most part, receiving the benefits of a Cruiser!

I can't say I ever seen a "factory installed" serial number plate attached that way[B)].. they've always been spot welded on. It appears the 4 new tires are mounted on 15X7" Chrysler cop wheels. It does have what appears to be the "factory" four barrel. Too bad it dosen't have P/B Or P/S, although they could be added. It's a nice looking car. The price is not too far off.

Good question, Matthew. My 1960 Lark Regal VIII four door was Oasis Green! I just found out from Jack White that '61 Cruiser was bought by Chris Johansenn, an NCSDC member (the tall guy with the beard and baseball cap drooling over the '61 that day)
And I almost forgot, my '66 Cruiser was green - but I had Ray Fitchorn paint it white...

I've gotten to the point about old cars that less is more - if it has PB or PS, that's OK, but if it doesn't I can live without them. Same with A/C; it's the most unreliable sub-system on a car and expensive to deal with, too. Russ Farris

Just my opinion, but I don't think he'll get a nibble until he starts under $3500.

I've been eyeballin' since I first spotted it that last time on eBay. I like it ALOT!!!
My best guess (with no bodytag info) would be that it is a Cruiser with a Daytona decklid, and a few other pieces of Daytona trim- mainly the crossed flags and fender scripts.
Seems that way to me, anyway...

Well, whatever it is, I like it! I missed the opening rear vent windows, too.
The screwed on serial number plate possibly means they tranferred the original Daytona plate to a Cruiser - or it just fell off as I've seen those spot welds fail before. The body tag, which IS screwed on from the factory would be a Y8 for a Daytona and Y9 for the Cruiser. I sent the seller a question about that...Russ Farris
