I need the width of the pleats, and the width of the entire pleated insert to double check my pattern, thanks.

Sorry John, I was eager to contribute. If you need the pleat dimensions for a '63, I can help.

There is the problem, I can do 63-64 show covers and want to do 61's. I have the correct silver, tinsel piping, just need the exact insert info.

I have a slipped disc right now and cannot move my convert which is blocking me getting to the 61 Hawk. If you do not get an answer bug me in about two weeks. I had the covers made by a guy called Winston in California some years back (probably 20) and like you he ordered from Autocraft. My car had the original interior in it and their pattern matched down to the silver piping. For some reason I can still remember Jerry from Autocraft calling and verifying the measurements.

LOL, Jerry called me too. Sadly, I can't wait two weeks, but thanks for trying.

The '61 Salesman's Fact Book says the individual pleats are 2 inch. I don't know about full width though.

I went out and made a measurement this morning and took the
attached picture; They are indeed 2 inch. Hopes this helps
                        Ed

I can't seem to forward a picture, Give me a call and I can
E mail the picture. I will also measure the total insert.
Maybe, someone can show how to add a picture to the reply.
                        Thanks Ed 320 251 1783

                          Good Morning
1961 Hawk seats. The seat pleats do not line up exactly
on may car; they are close to 121/2 inch on the bottom and
approx 13 inch on the back of seat. Ed
