  • 224 V-8 to good home

My brother has a stock 224 Studebaker V-8 that he removed from his 57 pickup when he changed to the 289. The engine was running a bit hot and he was not sure why. Anyway we hate to junk it, but it is just in the way. Anybody interested?

Just a technical point here - not being contentious or trying to defame your brother - 224s were used only as late as 1956. The 224s in trucks carried a serial# prefix of 2E. 1957 trucks used the 259 for most that bore a V8, some larger trucks had the 289.

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

The truck in question was built from a 56 and 57 truck so I guess Joe used the 56 chasis.
