Sheesh, Jen, we were just having fun, no biggie! Thank you, though. BondoBilly will have to make T-shirts out of that artwork for the real deserving angels in this club! [8D] Nice work, Jen.
Many folks have come to the rescue of others on this forum in many forms, just since I've been on here. For example, I don't know how many times I have read posts where members like Biggs sends out a needed part just for "shipping" or Chop Stu Kevin helping out a wrecked SDC member just last week, or Jim McCuan rescuing a forum member traveling cross country after buying a "driver", or half of Oklahoma pouring out to help Lionel after the accident. That stuff really deserves an angel t-shirt at the very least.
We just dragged your grandma's car out of a corn field before it made it to the crusher. Golden rule stuff, that's all. Kevin did the hard work. This clubs packed with that attitude throughout. [^]

That is a great piece of Art Work. Maybe a story in Turning Wheels is justified for what these guys did for you. maybe after the initial article we could have a continuing new series on Studebaker Angels similar to Mathew's new great column. What do you think Mr. Editor?

I think we could award this honor to Glenn Hansel too - the guy (and not even a Studebaker guy!) that I told of who helped another Studebaker damsel in distress/original owner, with her ailing '64. He's still monitoring her experiences with her Stude in case it acts up and needs further attention.[^]

barnlark,

your humbleness makes the "angels award" all the more appropriate! any kindness to another in this day and age needs to be rewarded in some way. and yes, i do realize that a large amount of the folks on this board deserve some kind of recognition too..... :D

thank you, thank you, for giving a slightly cynical girl a reason to believe in the goodness of humanity again!!

thanks, guys, for the kudos on my angels art. i was just messing around last night at work and threw it together in about 10 minutes. i am a graphic designer. my hours have been cut severely due to the economy, and i have been struggling financially. i have been looking for another job. i also do freelance graphic design if any of u great guys/girls have a need for that kind of thing. (ok, sorry, had to do a plug for me, lol!! [:I] )

i think t-shirts would be too cool! i would be more than willing to write an article for your turning wheels magazine about what these guys did for me....how do i go about doing that?

a monthly "studebaker angels" award column is a great idea too! u guys care so much about others!

bob peterson,
thanks for the offer! i'll keep that in mind! i used to live in ca. u r a studebaker angel too!! :)

hugs, studebakerjen

That sounds like a pretty good idea, Avantidon. What we need now is a writer. Anyone? (Fame and fortune will surely follow)

Anyone who buys one of my Studebakers would be an angel in my wife's eye. I could write a tale of each one disappearing. :D

Hi All. Jen, can you send a Studebaker Angel shout out to John Graham in Oklahoma City for all the help he gave me and my Dad while he was in the hospital there. Airport pickup, driving me out to see the wreck, taking photos for me. I would love to see that acknowledged for him.

Thanks so much.

I've never met John, but that is exactly what a S.A. should be all about; having each other's back when in need. Towing a car pales in comparison to that. Tip 'o the hat, John Graham. [^][^][^]

Paula, thanks for the compliment. I lost my mother also in an automobile accident and its the least I could do. The real angels are your Mother and mine who now watch over us both. I hope your Dad continues to improve, thanks for your recent report, hearing a little good news is something that lifts us all up and encourages everyone.
