  • Virtually painting a custom Studebaker?

    Greetings, All,

I am at the paint stage of a custom Hawk project. Am looking for software or a site which will let me try different colors and two-tone schemes on a photo of a Hawk.

    Also, anyone have a great side-view shot of a C-coupe available on-line?

    Any suggestions or directions appreciated.

    thnx, jv.

Here's a Hawk line drawing made from the trim section in the parts book.
You can flood fill each section with the color you are thinking about and get a rough idea....

                Hi, Jeff,
Thanks. Your line drawing is very close to what I need. How difficult is it to get one of a 1956 Power Hawk or Flight Hawk?

Actually, a '64 GT Hawk front end, and a '53-55 C-coupe body section would be perfect.

                thnx, jv.

                    Not difficult at all.
Get out your parts manual, scan the page (high res) and spend about 5 hours removing all the teeny arrows, lines,
                    and diagram numbers.
(I don't have a Skyhawk or GT Hawk pic to work on)
Here's a better pic for you...
It's 'blank' so you can save it as a 'blank' and 'save as' in each color you choose, so you can compare.
Once you 'flood fill' each section, it gets messy when you try to do the next color.
Better to keep each one separate...

You can flood fill a solid color easy enough...
                        Here's yellow..

and here's a linear gradient in blue (ick)[:0]

Play around with it...Have some fun!
