I know you have all been saying "I'll bet Bob has been golfing and doing yard work in the nice weather in Michigan". You have, I can still hear pretty well.

WELL!!! not so fast SDC Forum Member, I've been busy with the engine and tranny parts of the 83 Avanti II.

Engine and tranny are pulled, engine compartment has been painted as well as the frame , and the new bullet installed.

Just a few pictures to document the progress.

Not as pretty as the 54K in there but this is to be a pure driver.

It's beginning to look like I'll be able to try to start it later in the week. [:p][:p]

Looks great! I like the aluminum radiator.

Beautiful, Bob! [:p]

Painting and detailing the engine compartment (and doing it RIGHT like you did) is A LOT of work....but so worth it [^]

CL - It's a 355 with Aluminum heads and a ton of high quality internals. It was a deal I could not refuse. Documented in a previous post.

WC - I am currently going to use the original shroud and the largest high quality flex fan that will fit. If I see any signs of overheating, I'll probably switch to a late 90's Lincoln two-speed temperature controlled electric fan. They appear to be a direct bolt in size wise.
