Terrific! Looks just like the Danbury Mint die cast in my display case. I will consider this my birthday card from the forum. Thanks ChampTrucking.

Thanks! As I have already responded to a forum member in a private e mail...This is my big 65. I am reminded that on about my 38th birthday I said..."If I had known I would have felt this good at this age...I would have saved my money and lived a lot calmer!" I have had to repeat that with a big "ditto" ever since.

It is ironic that a Golden Hawk looks so good actually painted gold. Cars like this always remind me of one that passed Old Spot on the interstate in Nebraska after we had left the Estes Park international meet. It left an indelible impression.

You can save Studebakers, or save money. Tough to do both. Happy 65th birthday, John!

[] Thanks for another great picture and the hard work every day, Rich. Amazing.
I, too, have that model on my bookshelf. [8D]

Is it me or does the car have some type of hood ornament?

Yeah, I noticed that too. I also see something else that's aftermarket, can anybody find it? Pretty car though.
